CAFCL/CAFCC: Rangers, Rivers United, Shooting Stars, El Kanemi Warriors To Discover Preliminary Round Opponents On Thursday

Nigeria's representatives in the 2026/27 CAF inter-club competitions Rangers International, Rivers United, Shooting Stars, and El Kanemi Warriors will discover their preliminary round opponents on Thursday when the Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducts the official draws in Cairo, Egypt, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The draws for both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup are scheduled to take place at the CAF headquarters on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

The CAF Confederation Cup draw will begin at 2:00 p.m. Cairo time (11:00 GMT), while the CAF Champions League draw is slated for 3:00 p.m. Cairo time (12:00 GMT).

Rangers International and Rivers United will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League after finishing among the top teams in the Nigeria Premier Football League, while Shooting Stars and President Federation Cup champions El Kanemi Warriors will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The draw will determine the preliminary round fixtures as the four Nigerian clubs begin their quest for continental success in the new CAF inter-club season.
