CAFCL/CC: CAF Snubs Nigeria Referees As 71 Match Officials Set For Q/finals

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has once again snubbed Nigeria referees as no single one was listed for the knock-out stages of the continental club competitions, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

With a few days to the kick off of the quarter-finals of the Champions League and Confederation Cup, the African soccer ruling body on Tuesday released the list of the elite referees that will take charge of both competitions but West African country's match officials were not considered.

The final group games of the two competitions were held last week and Nigeria's Champions Rivers United are among the final eight teams in the Confederation Cup.

The list which was dominated by the North Africans with 25 Referees, 30 Assistants, 5 Video Assistant Referees, 3 Technical Instructors, 2 Physical Instructors, 4 CAF Staff and 2 VAR technicians.
