CAFCL Draw: It Will Be Tough But We Are Equal To The Task - Eguma

Technical Adviser of Rivers United, Stanley Eguma has admitted that the road is very tough but believed that they have what it takes to scale the hurdles, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The Nigeria champions were handed a tough route to the group stage of the CAF Champions League on Tuesday in the draws conducted in Cairo, Egypt.

Rivers United will have to navigate through Liberia's Watanga FC and the defending champions Wydad Casablanca of Morocco if they want to play at the group stage of the competition.

While reacting to the outcome of the draw, Eguma acknowledged that it will be tough, especially against Wydad but insisted that they have to first beat Watanga before talking about the Moroccan side.

"It's a good draw for me, anyone can be your opponent in a competition. After all, for you to be a champion, you must meet tough opposition.

" I'm not surprised to see a draw against Watanga FC as our first opponent, we are going to prepare well to come victorious.

"It's going to be a very tough game, Rivers United against Wydad Casablanca of Morocco who are the defending champions.

" They have been there and have a lot of experience and they have won it in the past but we are also equal to the task.

"For now, we are concerned with the Watanga FC of Liberia, that is the first target, we have to cross the hurdle before talking about Wydad," he said.
