The Sky Blue Stars of Ikenne, Remo Stars, made the headlines yet again, for interesting reasons, as the club's Chief Executive Officer, Kunle Soname gifts players, technical, medical staff, and supporters with handsome financial rewards.

BSNSports.com.ng got details of the varying prizes, ranging from ₦1.5 million upward to ₦20 million, following an impressive 2023 Nigeria Premier League season, only losing out on the title to Enyimba based on a single-digit goal difference tally.

Soname was proud of his staff, including the backroom staff, technical crew, and medics, as he splashed the cash across the board, with every department getting their fair share of the manna.

According to Leagues Reporter, Kunle Soname dished out a culminating sum of ₦28million to the team for finishing 2nd in the League following the playoff round, while securing a slot to feature on the continent in next season's CAF Champions League.

Remo had a stellar performance during the regular season as well, finishing one point less than Group A leaders Bendel Insurance, losing just thrice all season long.

Financial Reward by the department;

- Players - ₦20 million

- Technical & Medical - ₦5 million

- Media Team - ₦1.5 million

- Supporters - ₦1.5 million

Up next for Remo Stars is the Naija Super 8 pre-season Championship, where the Sky Blue Stars will face off against Shooting Stars Sports Club in a South West Derby clash, billed for the 23rd of June, 2023 by 5 pm.
