CAFWCL: Edo Queens Charged To Go For Ultimate Prize

Edo Queens have been charged by the state government to put up a good showing at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Moses Aduku’s side will be making their maiden appearance at the competition.

Edo Queens qualified for the annual competition after winning the WAFU B Women’s Championship in Cote d’Ivoire.

Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Yusuf Ali, in his farewell speech urged the players to replicate their recent success in Abidjan.

“Everything is set in place for us to go to Morocco and conquer, just like we did in Ivory Coast,” the chairman declared.

The Benin City club will depart the country for Morocco on Thursday. Edo Queens are drawn in Group B with Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, CBE of Ethiopia and Egypt’s FC Massar.
