Nigeria Women's Football League champions Edo Queens started their campaign in the CAF Women's Champions League on a sound note with a comprehensive 3-0 win over CBE FC of Ethiopia, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Emem Essien put Edo Queens ahead earlier in the game to peg back the Ethiopian club.

Folashade Florence made it 2-0 for the WAFU B champions midway into the second half before Osigwe netted the 3rd goal to give the Nigerian side a comfortable victory.

The win catapult Edo Queens to the top of the league due to a better goal difference.

Masar FC of Egypt produced a shocking result earlier in the day with a narrow 1-0 over the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.
