CAFWCL: Masar FC Shocks Edo Queens To Claim Bronze Medal

The dream of Edo Queens to clinch the bronze medal in the 2024 CAF Women's Champions League became an illusion on Friday evening, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian side failed to reach the final after they suffered a 1-3 defeat to TP Mazembe in the semi-final of the competition on Tuesday.

Masar FC set up a third-place playoff clash with Edo Queens after they lost 1-0 to AS FAR in their semi-final.

Both sides faced off in the third-place playoff on Friday and it was Masar FC who emerged winners 4-3 after a penalty shootout.

The game ended goalless after 90 minutes. They proceeded to penalties, where Masar FC clinched the bronze medal.
