CAFWCL Qualifier: Police Ladies Secure Danish Forward For Bayelsa Queens Showdown

Ghanaian champions Police Ladies have bolstered their squad with the signing of Danish international Laura Juul Hansen ahead of the 2025 WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The club confirmed the arrival of the attacker via its social media channels on Tuesday, August 19, noting that Hansen’s addition will strengthen the team as they prepare for their maiden appearance in the continental competition.

“Let’s welcome Danish forward Laura Juul Hansen to the Polas family,” the club announced.

Police Ladies, winners of the 2024 Ghana Women’s Premier League, will represent the nation in the WAFU B qualifiers, which serve as the pathway to the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Placed in Group B, the Ghanaian side will open their campaign against Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens on Sunday, August 24, before taking on Benin’s Sam Nelly and Togo’s ASKO.

Their final group fixture against ASKO is scheduled for Saturday, August 30.

The qualifiers will run from August 23 to September 4 at the Stade Charles Konan Banny in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast.
