CAHB 2022: Tunisia Pummels Nigeria 30-18

Nigeria's senior men's handball team otherwise known as Golden Arrows started their campaign in the African championship on a losing note, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

The team which has been in closed camp in the past weeks departed the shores of the country over the weekend.

They played their opening game against the defending champions Tunisia on Monday afternoon and it ended in defeat for them.

The North Africans who have won the championship 10 times proved too much for the Nigerians, beating them by 30-18 points.

Nigeria have participated in eleven editions of the African championship with their best outing recorded in the 1998 edition in South Africa wherein they finished 4th after losing to Egypt.

They will have the opportunity to redeem themselves when they face Cape Verde in another group game.
