CAS Begins Process On 2025 AFCON Final Case

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has taken a significant step in the legal proceedings concerning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final by constituting the panel that will hear the case, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
CAS has officially notified the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) of the establishment of the commission that will adjudicate Case CAS 2026/A/12295, relating to the 2025 AFCON final.
According to the communication sent to the concerned parties, the hearings are expected to commence soon, with the arbitration panel set to examine the defence briefs submitted by each side.
The court also indicated that it is awaiting the remaining responses from the parties involved before proceeding with the full hearing process.
The outcome of the case could have significant implications, as CAS prepares to review all submissions before reaching a final decision on the dispute surrounding the 2025 AFCON final.
