CHAN: Ogunmodede Justifies Invitation Of 30 Super Eagles B Stars For Black Galaxies

Coach Daniel Ogunmodede has justified the invitation of 30 players for the Super Eagles B ahead of the explosive home-and-away qualifying fixture against the Black Galaxies of Ghana, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Super Eagles B will battle their Ghana for a spot at the 8th African Nations Championship. A total of 30 players were assembled last week at the Remo Stars’ Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State.

Speaking with NFF TV, he said that the players are ready to make the nation proud by securing the ticket to the championship.

 "We are not thinking about the past, we are thinking about what the future holds. As indigenous coaches and players, we know what its at stake. We know what we are carrying as giants of Africa.

"Ghana will always rely on having knocked us out of this competition several times. This time will be different and that is what we are working on.

 "Everyone deserves a chance and we are privileged to be here. Anytime you have more than 11 players, there will always be one complaining player.

"We were asked to call 30 players out of millions of players. Those that were recommended were based on their performance and that's the information we relied on to bring these players."
