CHAN 2022 Fallout: Morocco Avoids CAF Sanction

African soccer ruling body has finally issued a verdict on the Morocco's withdrawal from the 2022 Championship of African Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The biennial tournament was held in Algeria and Morocco decided to withdraw from the competition after the host country refused to allow their flight to land at the capital city of Algiers.

The Atlas Lions of Morocco's decision to pull out from the Championship of Africa Nations generated a lot of controversies among some football stakeholders across the continent calls for sanctions for the country.

The football body met on Tuesday evening and decided not to sanction Morocco for their actions and they further confirmed that Mandela's Nephew will not be sanctioned for the political statement he made during the opening ceremony.
