CHAN 2023: Algeria Responds To Morocco

The tension between Algeria the host of the 2023 Championship of African Nations and the Atlas Lions of Morocco continues as the chairman of the Local Organising Committee Rachid Oukali responded to Algeria's claim, BSNSports.com.ng understand.

The Federation of Morocco Football earlier in the week threatened to withdraw from the competition if they don't allow a direct flight from Rabat to Algiers capital of Algeria.

The chairman during a press conference insisted that no agreement stated that direct flight should be allowed.

" We are obliged to ensure the movement of teams only on national territory. 

There is no mention in the specifications that a direct line must be made available to the teams ”, slipped the Algerian. “ 

Most of the countries on the continent will make stopovers. On the other hand, we promise our guests a warm welcome with all the necessary means so that they are in good condition once they arrive in Algeria", he said.
