CHAN 2023: CAF Increase Cash Prize By 60%

As the 2023 edition of the Championship of African Nations reached the quarter-finals, the African soccer governing body has increased the prize money for the teams, BSNSports.com.ng report.

17 teams commenced the competition due to the late withdrawal from the Atlas Lions of Morocco.

CAF on Friday morning announced that $2 million will go to the winner of the competition as against the $1.25 million the last winner got.

The first runners-up will earn $800, 000, 3rd place team will get $500,000 and the quarter-finalists place team will collect $400,000.
