CHAN 2023: Cameroon Threatens To Withdraw

The football crisis between Cameroon and Algeria reached a new height on Sunday ahead of the Championship of the 2023 African Nations as Indomitable Lions threatened to pull out, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The crisis between the two nations commenced in March 2022 during the Qatar 2022 World Cup Playoffs in which Cameroon qualified at the expense of the Algerians.

The Algerian stakeholders and fans believed the Cameroonians manipulated the game through the match officials.

Algeria is scheduled to be the host of the 2023 edition of CHAN and according to the update from Cameroon, the Federation of Cameroon Football doesn't seem to be satisfied with the level of security allocated to their team and thereby considering pulling out of the tournament.
