CHAN 2023 Draw: CAF Listed Nigeria, Others As Egypt, Tunisia Withdraw

Ahead of the 2023 Championship of the Nations qualifying draw, the Confederation of African Football has released the list of countries that registered to participate in the qualifiers, BSNsports.com.ng can report.


The football body on Tuesday listed Nigeria's CHAN Super Eagles among the 48 teams and has indicated an interest in participating in the qualifiers.


CAF also announced Pharaoh of Egypt and Carthage Eagles of Tunisia as the two nations that have pulled out of the competition.


The draw for the tournament is slated to take place on Wednesday 28th of April, 2022 while the competition is scheduled for January 2023 in Algeria.



The reason for the withdrawal of the two North African countries is yet to be revealed but the draw will go on as planned.
