CHAN 2024: CAF Completes Final Inspection Of Kenya, Tanzania, And Uganda

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has wrapped up its final 8-day inspection tour of facilities in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda ahead of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), scheduled for 2–30 August 2025, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The tour began on Thursday, 3 July in Nairobi, Kenya, where the CAF delegation assessed the Kasarani Stadium venue for the final and the Nyayo International Stadium. The team then proceeded to Zanzibar's Amaan Stadium and the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, which will host the opening ceremony.

The final stop was at the Mandela International Stadium in Kampala, Uganda, on Tuesday, 9 July.

Led by CAF department heads from Competitions, Marketing, Media, Broadcast, Safety & Security, and Infrastructure, the delegation worked closely with Local Organising Committees across all three host nations.

The successful completion of inspections marks a major milestone in the countdown to East Africa’s hosting of the tournament and reflects the region’s collective readiness and growing anticipation.

CAF extended its gratitude to the governments and organising bodies of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda for their dedication and collaboration in preparing for a Look memorable CHAN 2024.
