CHAN 2024: Defending Champions Senegal Begins Camp Ahead Of Nigeria Clash

Defending champions Senegal have officially commenced preparations for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Players and officials of the team converged at the Jules François Bocandé Technical Development Centre in Toubab Dialaw on Monday to kick off their training camp.
According to a statement from the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), the training programme will run from June 30 to July 11 in Toubab Dialaw, as part of the team's build-up to CHAN 2024.
A total of 28 players have been invited for the initial phase of the camp, with the majority drawn from top-performing clubs in the Senegalese domestic league.
Ligue 1 champions Teungueth FC lead the pack with four players earning national team call-ups.
The training camp focuses on enhancing tactical discipline, physical conditioning, and team chemistry as the Teranga Lions A’ aim to defend the title they secured in Algeria in 2023.
Senegal has been drawn in Group D alongside Nigeria, Sudan, and Congo.
The Teranga Lions will kick off their campaign against Nigeria’s Home-based Super Eagles on Tuesday, August 7, at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar.
