CHAN 2024: Home-Based Eagles Clash Against Congo Is A Must-Win, Says Chelle

Eric Chelle has declared that the Home-Based Eagles last group game at the 8th African Nations Championship against Congo Brazaville is a must-win encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Nigeria crashed out of the CHAN 2024 after an abject performance against Sudan in Zanzibar and would face off with Congo at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. 

In a post-match conference, Chelle said that the aim is to finish high saying that "the reality is we have lost two games, we made lots of errors. Now the only thing on our mind is to bring something home with us."

He urged the players to put up a strong mentality in the game adding that "my players need to show they are ready mentally for the game. They must respond with something to bring home. We made too many errors.

"I decide how we play not me personally but after the analysis, what we we see and how the players react. All the games I play, I want to win."
