CHAN 2024: Injury Blow For Nigeria's Group Opponent Senegal as Star Midfielder Issaga Kane Ruled Out

Senegal's preparations for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) have been dealt a major blow, with key midfielder Issaga Kane sidelined due to injury, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

With less than three weeks to the tournament kickoff, Kane widely regarded as one of Senegal’s top talents has been ruled out after sustaining an injury during a recent game against HLM.

The Jaaraf midfielder, who was named the Most Valuable Player of the just-concluded Senegalese league season, is set to undergo surgery and will be out of action for approximately three months.

Senegal, grouped alongside Nigeria’s Super Eagles B team, are considered strong contenders for the title. Kane's absence could significantly affect their midfield strength heading into the tournament.
