CHAN 2024: Number Of Qualified Teams Set To Increase

As the draw date for the 2024 Championship of African Nations approaches, the number of qualified teams is set to rise from 19 to 20, according to BSNSports.com.ng.

Ahead of the qualifiers, several countries, including Algeria, opted out of the competition.

However, the latest update reveals that the Algerian Football Federation is now reconsidering its decision and may send a team to the tournament.

Morocco remains the only North African country confirmed to participate, while others, including Algeria, had initially chosen to withdraw.

If Algeria decides to rejoin, the number of participating teams will increase to 20.

The competition is scheduled to begin on February 1 and run until February 28, 2025.
