CHAN 2024 Postponed to August 2025

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the postponement of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, originally scheduled for Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, to August 2025, BSNSports.com.ng reports 

While significant progress has been made in these host countries with the construction and upgrading of stadiums, training facilities, hotels, hospitals, and other infrastructure, CAF's Technical and Infrastructure experts, who have been on-site in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, have advised that more time is needed to ensure the facilities meet the necessary standards for a successful tournament.

CAF will hold the draw for the Championship on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in Nairobi. The exact start date of the tournament in August 2025 will be announced at a later time.
