CHAN 2024 Qualifier: Finidi Hopes Rivers United Duo Makes Final List

The manager of the Nigeria Premier Football League side Rivers United Finidi George is hoping that the duo of Stephen Manyo and Taiwo Abdulrafiu made the home based Eagles team to Ghana, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The duo are currently among the players vieing for a spot in the Super Eagles B team to the 2024 Championship of African Nations qualifier against the Black Stars of Ghana.

Both players were unavailable for the Pride of Rivers 2-1 win over Kwara United in the league.

The hoping both players will be part of the first leg team but quickly if they failed to make the team, they will be welcome back into the team.

"I spoke with both players, and I wished them well,” Finidi told Rivers United Media.

“They will be going with 18 players, and I hope they will make the final list for the game.

“If not, we will see if we can have them back, but we will wait and hear from the federation.”
