CHAN 2024 Qualifier: Former Captain Warns Ghana To Be Wary Of Nigeria

The former skipper of the Black Galaxies of Ghana, Gladson Awako, has warned the team to be wary of Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ghana will host the home-based Eagles on Sunday in the first leg of the 2024 Championship of African Nations qualifier.

Awako admitted that it would not be easy against the Super Eagles B team.

"The Black Galaxies will not have an easy game against Nigeria. We eliminated them the last time we met, so playing against us again will not be easy for us," he said.

 "Nigerians feel they are ahead of us, but I'm confident we will surprise them".

"The players need to be humble and obedient to the instructions of the technical team. The technical team is also experienced and knows how to navigate games like this," he noted.

The winner of the two-legged tie will book their ticket to the CHAN tournament, which will be hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda in 2025.
