CHAN 2024 Qualifier: Ilechukwu Gives Update On Martins, Set To Prune Super Eagles List

The assistant coach of the Super Eagles B team Fidelis Ilechukwu has released update on the injured Ossy Martins, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The team resumed training earlier in the month and Martins was one of the invited players but was involved in accident on his way to camp.

And instead of having 30 players in camp only 29 are available and Ilechukwu made it clear that they will replace him when need arises.

He further said the team may likely be reduced by weekend.

"We are looking at what we are going to do. We want to reduce the players and if we are okay with the attacking players, we may not replace or wait for him to be fit. By the weekend, we will know what to do", he told Punch correspondent.

Nigeria will play the first leg away in Ghana before hosting the reverse fixture at the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
