In a standout performance, Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey netted his first Premier League goal since February on Saturday night at Turf Moor, as Fulham beat Burnley in a 5-goal thriller, reports BSNSports.cin.ng.

 Harry Wilson delivered a brilliant lofted cross into the box, and Bassey soared above the defenders, powering a header into the bottom right corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance to respond—putting his team ahead 2-1.

Bassey was on the verge of scoring what could have easily been the goal of the season for his second.

He made an assertive run, skillfully dribbling through the defence towards the goal. Inside the box, he opted to shoot, but unfortunately mishit the ball, sending it well wide of the target, resulting in a goal kick for Burnley.
