Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) has announced the immediate suspension of Campos FC from all league activities following a two-year ban imposed on the club and its Chief Executive Officer by the Imo State Football Association, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
In an official statement released by the NLO Secretariat, the league confirmed it had received formal communication from the Imo State FA regarding the disciplinary action against the club.
The NLO stated that since Campos FC is affiliated with the Imo State Football Association, it is obligated to respect and enforce the decision in line with the statutes and regulations guiding football administration in Nigeria.
As a result, Campos FC will no longer be recognised as a participating club in the Nationwide League One with immediate effect.
The suspension includes the withdrawal of the club from all NLO fixtures and competitions, non-recognition of official results, points and standings involving the club, as well as the prohibition of the club and its officials from all league-related activities until further notice.
The league further stated that the sanction will remain in place until the Imo State Football Association officially lifts the ban and communicates the decision in writing to the NLO Secretariat.
The NLO also advised the management of Campos FC to urgently resolve the issues that led to the ban in order to facilitate the club’s reinstatement.
The league warned that any attempt by Campos FC to participate in NLO activities while the suspension remains in force would be treated as a serious violation of league regulations.
