Canada 2-2 Nigeria: Canada Hold Nigeria To A Draw In Langford

Zardosky goal in the dying minutes of the second half denied the Super Falcons a win in Langford in the early hours of Tuesday, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
It was the second time both teams meet in 3 days and with the first tie ending 2-0 in favour of the Canadians, the Super Falcons gave a good account of themselves taking the game to their host right from the blast of the whistle and with just five minutes into the game, Ifeoma Onumonu back heel off Tony Payne corner kick gave the African champions the lead in the first half.
In the 49th minute, poor defending hands Canada forward, Christine Sinclair an easy equaliser as she lobbed the ball into an empty net as Nigeria goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie came out of her 18 yard box.
Five minutes later, Rasheedat Ajibade effort that failed to find team mates went straight into the net when a missed attempt to jab the ball into net received Canada goalkeeper.
The Falcons held their ground after retaking the lead soaking all the pressures from the Canadian side but at the death of the game crumbled as Zardosky header in the 88th minute ensured the spoils was shared by both teams.
It was a good game of football in the second fixture than was witnessed in the first match.
The Falcons can leave Canada with their head high but will knock themselves for conceding so cheap equalizer in the 49th minute and also crumbling towards the end of the game.
It ends at the Starlight Stadium Langford Canada 2-2 Nigeria.
