Sampson Adedeji
Just recovered former Nigeria's Flying Eagles and Watford FC midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru has confirmed his gradually getting his old form, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Bashiru who played for Readings FC sustained three different injuries last season which affected his performance.
The skillful player has played all the games involving the Hornets this season and he has also scored a goal.
"I’m happy with how the season has started for me on a personal level - getting out there and just playing minutes,†said the 23-year-old, who has started all five of the Golden Boys’ outings so far this term.
“Last season was so difficult being out with three different injuries, so I’m just living in the moment and enjoying being out on the football pitch.
“It is difficult [bouncing back from injuries]. You have to be mentally tough - when you’re close to a return and then get a setback, which is what happened three times last year, it’s hard to take.
“Physically I feel good now. I had no problems in pre-season and to score so early in the QPR game was the best possible start. It was the result of patterns we’d been working on for a long time, and to see it come off was a brilliant feeling", he said.
Bashiru was part of the Nigeria team at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland in 2019.
