Championship: Leicester City Gives Update On Ndidi's Injury

Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca has released an update on the injury of Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The lanky midfielder has been out of action in the past few weeks due to the muscle injury he sustained during a league game.

The injury was also the reason he missed the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The Argentine boss confirmed that Ndidi will be out of action for more than expected.

" Hopefully! But I don’t think so. Hopefully, he can be back in two weeks but I don’t think so", the boss told Leicester Mercury.

Ndidi had earlier in the week said, he would be back very soon but the manager seems to have dashed the hope.

Ndidi was one of five senior players missing for City during Monday night's draw with Ipswich.
