Championship: Middlesbrough Slap £15 Million On Akpom

After narrowly missing the promotion to the English Premier League, Championships side Middlesbrough have decided to listen to offers for their most prized asset Chuba Akpom, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Middlesbrough under coach Michael Carrick posted a remarkable performance in the regular season but lost out to Luton Town in the playoffs and eventually dropped out of the promotion.

Akpom put up an impressive performance and erased all the records in the championship scoring an unbelievable 28 goals to emerge as the top scorer in the division.

With Crystal Palace among the leading candidates for the Nigeria-eligible forward, Boro has slapped a whopping £15 million on him.

Akpom who started with Arsenal was voted Championship Player of the Season.
