Championship: Nwakali Eager To Impress In England

Newly signed Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Kelechi Nwakali is eager to impress in English football, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The skillful joined the Championship side Barnsley FC on Monday following the expiration of his contract with the Portuguese Club Chavez.

Nwakali, earlier in his career, signed for Arsenal, but he was unable to play for the first team before he was sold.

While reacting to the move, the Nigerian International was happy about the development and is ready to impress on English soil.

“I am very happy to sign for Barnsley Football Club.

 I spoke to Mladen and the Head Coach Darrell earlier in the summer and I knew that this was an exciting opportunity for me, I know I can bring a lot to the team. 

I am looking forward to being back in England and making Oakwell my home for the next three years", he said.
