It was a start to forget for the newly appointed Wigan Athletic coach Kolo Toure as he suffered a 4-1 loss to Middlesbrough on Saturday courtesy hat trick from Nigeria's Super Eagles eligible player Chuba Akpom, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The former Ivorian international was appointed as the new manager of the club a few weeks back.

Boro played host to Wigan on Saturday at the Riverside Stadium and it was Akpom that caught the attention of everyone with an amazing display.

Forss netted the opening goal in the 28th minute before Akpom doubled their lead in the 49th minute.

Ten minutes later, he made it 3-0 before Aasgaard reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute.

Akpom completed his hat trick in the 93rd minute and secured a maximum point for the host.

The former Arsenal player has represented the Junior Three Lions of England at all levels but is still eligible to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
