The Super Eagles of Nigeria will return to training in Fez on Monday as preparations continue for their final Group match against Uganda and the upcoming Round of 16 fixture at the Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria secured qualification for the knockout stage following a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Tunisia. However, the three-time African champions will still require at least a draw against Uganda to retain their position at the top of the group standings.

According to team officials.who spoke with www.bsnsports.com.ng, a two-hour training is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm on Monday, with all players reported fit and available for selection. The session is expected to be used to fix errors and fine tuned game strategy as head coach Éric Chelle plans to rotate his squad and rest several key players ahead of the knockout phase.

Several members of the regular starting XI are likely to be given a break, offering fringe players an opportunity to impress. The final group match is expected to serve as a platform for squad players to stake their claim for starting roles as Nigeria look ahead to the Round of 16.
