Chelle Shuffles Squad, Hands Osimhen Captaincy for Uganda Clash

Victor Osimhen will lead the Super Eagles as captain in Nigeria’s final Group C encounter against Uganda, with head coach Éric Chelle opting to rotate his squad for the decisive fixture, BSNSports.
Chelle made Seven changes in the today's starting XI.
The Napoli striker, widely regarded as the talisman of the national team, steps into the leadership role as Nigeria aim to close the group stage on a strong note. Chelle’s selection reflects a blend of experience and fresh legs, signaling both tactical adjustment and squad depth.
Francis Uzoho is set to start in goal, while the defensive line features Calvin Bassey, Igoh Ogbu, Bruno Onyemaechi, and Ryan Alebiosu. In midfield, Raphael Onyedika and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru will provide stability and energy, supported by the creativity and pace of Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze on the flanks.
