Chelsea Must Sign An Experienced Osimhen - Mikel

Super Eagles legend John Obi Mikel has made it clear that Chelsea needs to sign Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, emphasising the urgency for an "experienced striker", BSNSports.com.ng has sourced.

Despite the summer signings of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap for a combined £90m, the pair have managed a disappointing seven goals across 33 appearances in the Premier League.

In a statement to Sky Sports, Obi Mikel asserted that Osimhen is vital for the team, noting his impressive track record of 26 goals in the Turkish league last season, along with six goals in the current campaign.

"Victor Osimhen is exactly what we need. He can stretch the play, run behind defences, come short, score goals—he can do it all," he declared.

"We require an experienced striker who knows how to win big games and consistently scores in crucial moments. He knows where to be at the right time."

The former midfielder also stressed that Chelsea must address its goalkeeper situation, despite having Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen.

 "The goalkeeper issue is non-negotiable. If Chelsea is serious about winning trophies, a top-notch goalkeeper is essential."
