Chukueze: I Miss My Second Home, Milan

Super Eagles midfielder Samuel Chukwueze says he misses Milan, which he tagged as his second home in Europe, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

In the summer window, Milan made the decision right at the gong to send Chukwueze out on loan to Fulham with an option to buy. He struggled a bit for minutes at first, but now he is quickly becoming a fan favourite.

After providing two assists off the bench in Premier League games against Sunderland and Tottenham, Chukwueze scored twice past Gianluigi Donnarumma’s Manchester City earlier in the month in an eventual 5-4 loss.

Several sources have confirmed that London has an option to buy him for around €28m when his loan is up, but that the winger has not ruled out the idea of returning to Milan to fight for a spot in the squad.

Chukwueze gave an interview to ON Sport (via MilanPress) from Nigeria’s training camp for the Africa Cup of Nations, and he spoke about a number of topics including his parent club Milan.

“Yes, I miss it. It’s my second home. My family stayed there, so I miss it. It’s a beautiful city, but everyone has to focus on their own lives. They’re doing well, and I wish them all the best, especially since I’m still a Milan player, since I’m on loan.”
