Cityzens Academy Highlight Gains With OGBODO UK Sports Partnership

Maurice Ogbodo, Director Cityzens Academy has highlighted its gains with OGBODO UK Sports.

The Abuja-based football academy which was established in 2017, a few years ago entered a partnership with OGBODO UK SPORTS, this saw the certified sports management firm become its official partner.

Years after, Cityzens Academy is reaping the rewards of partnering with OGBODO UK SPORTS, is reputed for helping the academy scout players in the nooks and crannies of Nigeria, developing talents from the scouting programme and marketing the players of the Academy to European football leagues and other thriving league across the globe.

According to Maurice, "Talents discovered from the organized scouting programme by OGBODO UK SPORTS and recruited into Citizens Academy are plying their trade in the Nigerian Professional Football League(NPFL), South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) and Spanish La Liga.

"The quartet of Emmanuel Okoyen, Nkwuda Obinna Ferdinand, Chidiebere Ernest and Nwobodo Chidiebere are one of such talents OGBODO UK SPORTS have developed and helped actualize their football dreams by facilitating and concluding professional football contracts with in various Professional Football leagues across the globe

"OGBODO UK SPORTS did transfer Okoyen to CD Leganes B of Spain while Nkwuda is currently on the books of Uthongathi FC of South Africa.

"Former Flying Eagles and WAFU U20 midfielder Ernest plies his trade with Gombe United, likewise Nwobodo who also features for Rangers Int’l of Enugu in the Nigerian Professional Football League(NPFL)."

Kingsley Ogbodo, CEO, OGBODO UK SPORTS expressed his delight that Cityzens Academy is reaping gains from the partnership.

"At OGBODO UK SPORTS our aims and mission is to help the football academies grow by providing the needed expertise for them, ensuring the talents scouted are equipped with the right training programmes and at end market them. 

"I want to inform that OGBODO UK SPORTS and Cityzens Academy will be hosting a scouting program come February-May 2023 for the next summer transfer," said Kingsley Ogbodo.
