Coach Bassey Thanks NFF, Happy As Nine U-15 Players Make WAFU B Team

Head Coach of the Nigeria Future Eagles, Patrick Bassey has thanked the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the opportunity given to him to lead the Nigeria U15 team, which produced nine players for the Nigeria U17 national team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Nine players from the Future Eagles travelled to the Ghanaian capital, Accra on Saturday for the defence of the WAFU B U17 Championship title at this year’s edition of the competition that kicks off on Wednesday, 15th May.
Bassey described the feat as greater things to come for the Future Eagles saying that this is the first of its kind that such a progress from the Future Eagles to the National U-17 will be recorded.
According to Bassey, he believes that the Future Eagles players who graduated to the U-17 will help the team to qualify for the World Cup.
"I want to appreciate the leadership of the NFF, executive members, technical committee chairman and department for this great feat that God has done for the Future Eagles.
"This is the first in a long time that we can have the National Future Eagels team progressing to the National U-17. Among the 20-man list, we have nine players from the Future Eagles that went to represent this great nation in Morocco and they are part of the Manu Garba-led 20-man list that will be leading the team to another great height.
"This is a great progress from the Future Eagles to the U-17 and we believe they will do better and work hard to see Nigeria qualify to the World Cup."
