Collins Opens Up On Why He Missed Super Eagles Friendly Games

Nigeria's Super Eagles and Cardiff City defender, Jamiu Collins, has finally opened up on why he missed the doubleheader international friendly games, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite not having an injury, the left-back defender skipped the friendly game against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.

While speaking to the club media, Collins said he skipped the game on the advice of his club gaffer.

“Me not going to the national team was for myself.

" I’ve been out for a long time and the gaffer told me not to because he wants me to rest due to the issues with my hamstring.

I think the advice was the right one for me,” he said.

Collins is expected to be back in the Super Eagles team for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
