Commonwealth Games 2026: Chukwuebuka Enekwechi Wins Gold In Men's Shot Put

Nigeria’s Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has been crowned Commonwealth champion after claiming gold in the men’s shot put at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Enekwechi produced a winning throw of 21.07 metres in the fifth round to seal the title. He edged out New Zealand’s Tom Walsh, who threw 21.03m for silver, while England’s Scott Lincoln took bronze with a best of 20.99m.

The victory marks a major achievement for the Nigerian athlete on the Commonwealth stage.
