Commonwealth Games: Tobi Amusan, Ese Brume Arrive Abuja For Presidential Visit 


Two top performers for Nigeria at the just-concluded Commonwealth Games, Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume have arrived in Abuja on Wednesday night ahead of the athletes visit to the Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari at the Villa, BSNSports.com.ng can report..

The duo arrived Private Jet Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja at 9:37pm with the Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare, President, Athletics Federation of Nigeria, Tonobok Okowa as well as MD/CEO of Premium Trust bank, Emmanuel Emefinem.

Meanwhile, plans have been concluded by the Federal Government to host athletes who made Nigeria proud at the Commonwealth Games in England. Nigeria ended the tournament as the best African sporting country, ranked 7th on the overall medals table with 12 gold 9 Silver, and 14 Bronze medals totalling 35.

Speaking at the Airport, elated Ese Brume said, "The excitement is premium. It's amazing to see Premium Trust bank supporting us. This will go a long way in developing Sports. I am happy and grateful. If this continues and other private sector come together to continue with this initiative, we will get more Ese Brume and Tobi Amusan

She said her focus has been shifted to preparation towards next World Athletics Championship.

"Right now, I am resting and have shifted attention to next season which is the World Championship. Hopefully and by the grace of God, things will work out as planned.

As it is we are having premium preparations ahead of the World Championship.

Also speaking, Tobi Amusan thanked the Premium Trust bank, Minister of Sports and AFN President. "I want to thank Premium Trust bank, Minister of Sports Sunday Dare and AFN President, Tonobok Okowa for all the supports and assistance.

Emmanuel Emefinem, CEO Premium Trust bank told journalists that the bank will give all necessary supports to both Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume.

"We are the official banker and having two top athletes in the world as our brand ambassadors. That tells you clearly that we are here to stay. We are signing them on for three years. In this three years, we will give them all the supports."
