Commonwealth Games 2026: Ebingha Narrowly Misses 100m Butterfly Semifinal As Adama Doubles Up

Nigeria's Colins Ebingha narrowly missed out on a place in the men's 100m butterfly semifinals at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow after finishing sixth in his heat with a time of 55.45 seconds, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ebingha competed alongside fellow Nigerian Abduljabar Adama in the same heat, with Adama crossing the line in seventh place in 55.81 seconds.

Adama's outing in the butterfly came just minutes after he had successfully secured qualification for the men's 50m freestyle semifinals, returning to the pool for his second event of the session.

While Ebingha's campaign in the 100m butterfly came to an end, Adama will now shift his focus to the men's 50m freestyle semifinals as Nigeria's swimming team continues its campaign at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
