Team Nigeria made a winning start to their men's 3x3 basketball campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games after defeating Cayman Islands 21-17 in their opening fixture, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria produced a strong performance in the fast-paced contest, maintaining composure to secure victory in their first appearance in the competition.

Esosa Okundaye and Ikechukwu Nwamu led Nigeria’s scoring effort, with both players contributing six points each to help the team cross the finish line.
