Conceição Clarifies Chukwueze’s Role In AC Milan

AC Milan head coach, Sergio Conceição, has shed light on the role of Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze within the squad, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Chukwueze made his return to action on Friday in Milan’s 3-1 win over Bologna, marking a long-awaited appearance for the winger, who has struggled for playing time.

Reports suggest the talented left-footed attacker could be among the players set to leave the club at the end of the season.

Speaking during a press conference, Conceição refrained from labelling Chukwueze merely as a squad option, instead offering words of encouragement.

“I have embraced everyone. He deserves positive words, just like the others who came in,” the coach said.

“He hasn’t played in a while, and he wanted to prove me wrong for not selecting him earlier. That kind of hunger creates good competition for a place in the starting lineup,” he added.
