Ahead of the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, the inspection team of the African soccer ruling body stormed Adoke Amasiamaka Stadium in Port-Harcourt, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Port-Harcourt stadium is the home of Rivers United the only surviving Nigeria representative in the CAF inter-club competition.

The Pride of Rivers held their qualifying game at the Adoke Amasisamaka Stadium but CAF is reluctant to approve the group stage to be held at the stadium.

Their group-stage home games were held at the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium last season but the management of the club is working round the clock to have their games in Port-Harcourt.

The CAF inspection team concluded their inspection on Thursday morning and the outcome of their visit will be revealed before the start of the competition.
