The Ivory Coast league side ASEC Mimosa has intensified its preparations for the upcoming group-stage matches of the CAF Confederation Cup, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

The Ivorian side is placed in group B alongside Nigeria's champions Rivers United, Moteme Pembe ( DR Congo) and Diables Noirs (Congo).

The club on Friday evening announced the acquisition of a new striker to strengthen the team's forward line in the competition.

The club announced GAYE Douzebo Alain Didier from a rival club San Pedro FC for 3 seasons.

" The first recruit of the mid-season transfer window is GAYE Douzebo Alain Didier, coming from San Pedro FC the striker signed a contract for 3 seasons.

Good luck GAYE", the club confirmed.

Rivers United will host ASEC in the second group game of the tournament at the Adoke Amasiamaka stadium on the 19th of February, 2023.
