Confederation Cup: CAF Gives Rivers United, Others Deadline

Ahead of the group stage kick-off of the Confederation Cup, the African soccer governing body has given participating teams a deadline to submit their match venues, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria's champions Rivers United are among the remaining 16 teams that will slug it out in the group stage of the competition.

The Pride of Rivers reached the group stage of the tournament after they defeated Al Nasr of Libya over two legs.

They've been placed in the group alongside Asec Mimosa( CIV), and Motema Pembe ( DR Congo).

The football body on Monday evening announced December 26th, 2022 as the deadline date for the submission.
