Confederation Cup: Motema Pembe Appoints Portuguese Coach For Rivers United, Others

To have a good outing in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, the group opponent of Nigeria's champions Rivers United, Motema Pembe of DR Congo has appointed a new head coach, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The Congolese side was placed in group B alongside Nigeria's Rivers United, Asec Mimosa ( Ivory Coast) and Diables Noirs in the draws that were held last week.

Motema Pembe on Tuesday evening appointed Portuguese gaffer Joao Mota as the new head coach of the team.

The 56-year-old manager took charge of his first training later in the day and he will be unveiled officially on Wednesday.

Motema Pembe will face the Pride of Rivers on the 26th of February 2023.
