Confederation Cup: Rivers United Face Tough Oppositions In Group B

African soccer governing body at its headquarters in Cairo, Egypt released the group stage draw for the 2022/2023 Confederation cup, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The draw fix a tough call for the Nigeria's champions Rivers United as they were handed tough oppositions in group B.

According to the draw, Rivers United were drawn in the same group with Asec Mimosa (Ivory Coast) Motema Pembe (DRC) and Diable Noirs (Senegal).

The Pride of Rivers defeated Al Nasr of Libya over the two-legs to reach the group stage of the competition.

Group A has: USM Algiers, Marumo Gallants, Al Akhdar and Eloi Lupopo, Group C consists of Pyramids FC, Asko De Kara, Future FC and ASFAR club while Group D housed TP Mazembe, US Monastir, Yanga SC and Real Bamako
